Last Updated: May 28, 2026
Terms governing use of the MCC medical cannabis directory, compliance tools, reviews, networking features, and MCC fee payments.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the websites at mainecannabiscoalition.com and mainecannabiscoalition.org (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
The Platform is operated by Maine Cannabis Coalition Foundation, doing business as United Technologies ("MCC," "we," "us," or "our").
What the Platform Is
MCC provides compliance, directory, and networking software for Maine's medical cannabis community.
- A verified, admin-approved public directory of members
- License-monitoring and compliance tools
- Informational listings of strains, products, and services
- Networking and communication features, including inquiries and lead routing between users and members
- Reviews and trust signals
- Advocacy resources, including legislator-contact tools
- Membership, sponsorship, and event services
What the Platform Is Not
The Platform is not a marketplace or e-commerce service. Inventory and product information displayed on the Platform is informational only, intended to help users discover and connect with members. Any transaction is arranged and conducted independently between the parties, outside the Platform, through members' own channels. MCC is not a party to and bears no responsibility for any such transaction.
- MCC does not sell or offer cannabis or cannabis products.
- MCC does not facilitate, broker, or process the sale or purchase of cannabis or cannabis products.
- MCC does not process payments between users and members or between members.
- MCC does not operate a cart, checkout, order, or payout system for cannabis products.
Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to participate in Maine's medical cannabis program to use member-facing features. By using the Platform, you represent that you meet these requirements.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
Member Listings and Compliance
Member listings do not appear publicly until manually approved by an MCC administrator. New products and trust-sensitive changes must be re-approved before replacing the live version. Members are solely responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, and legality of all information, documents, and content they submit, including license and compliance documentation. MCC's verification and monitoring tools do not constitute legal, regulatory, or compliance advice.
Reviews and User Content
Users may submit reviews and other content subject to moderation. By submitting content, you grant MCC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the Platform. You agree not to submit content that is false, defamatory, fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful. MCC may approve, reject, hide, or remove content at its discretion.
Networking and Communications
The Platform may route inquiries, messages, and lead information between users and members. MCC does not guarantee any response, outcome, or transaction resulting from these communications and is not responsible for the conduct of any user or member.
Fees and Payments
Fees collected through the Platform are limited to amounts owed directly to MCC, such as membership subscriptions, sponsorships, and event listings. Card statements will reflect the descriptor "United Technologies." Fees are subject to the terms presented at the time of purchase. Active subscriptions are required for members to remain publicly visible.
Prohibited Conduct
- Use the Platform to buy, sell, or arrange unlawful transactions
- Submit false or misleading information or documentation
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform
- Attempt unauthorized access to any system or data
- Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose
Intellectual Property, Disclaimers, and Liability
The Platform, including its software, design, and content, excluding member- and user-submitted content, is owned by MCC and its licensors and is protected by applicable law. You may not copy, modify, or distribute it without permission.
The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available." MCC disclaims all warranties to the fullest extent permitted by law, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. MCC does not warrant the accuracy of member listings, inventory information, compliance status, or third-party content, and does not provide legal, regulatory, medical, or compliance advice.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, MCC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any transaction, communication, or interaction between users and members. MCC's total liability for any claim relating to the Platform will not exceed the amount you paid to MCC in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Indemnification, Termination, and Governing Law
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless MCC and its officers, directors, and agents from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.
MCC may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time, including for violation of these Terms, lapse of subscription, or expiration of a required license.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
