Terms of Use
Last Updated: June 29, 2026
Terms governing use of the MCC medical cannabis directory, compliance tools, reviews, networking features, and MCC fee payments.
Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the websites at mainecannabiscoalition.com and mainecannabiscoalition.org (the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
The Platform is operated by Maine Cannabis Coalition Foundation, doing business as United Technologies ("MCC," "we," "us," or "our").
What the Platform Is
MCC provides compliance, directory, and networking software for Maine's medical cannabis community.
- A verified, admin-approved public directory of members
- License-monitoring and compliance tools
- Informational listings of strains, products, and services
- Networking and communication features, including inquiries and lead routing between users and members
- Reviews and trust signals
- Advocacy resources, including legislator-contact tools
- Membership, sponsorship, and event services
Definitions
The following terms are used throughout the Platform, plan descriptions, and billing disclosures:
- Verified public directory profile: A public member page that MCC has reviewed before publication. It may show the member's business name, location or service area, contact information, license/compliance status, photos, reviews, trust markers, and informational services or product details. It is not an online store.
- Verified provider: A member whose public profile has passed MCC review. Verification means MCC reviewed submitted information for directory purposes; it does not mean MCC guarantees the member's products, services, advice, or business practices.
- No paid listings: Members may pay MCC subscription fees to use the Platform, but they cannot pay extra to skip review or buy a higher directory ranking. Sponsored placements, when offered, are separate advertising/service placements and are labeled or described separately from ordinary directory ranking.
- Member: A person, professional, or business with an MCC account and an active MCC membership or service relationship. A member is publicly visible only after MCC approval, active subscription status, current required licenses, and no suspension.
- Caregiver: A Maine medical cannabis caregiver or caregiver business that represents it is legally eligible to participate in Maine's medical cannabis program. MCC may publish caregiver information after review, but MCC does not sell cannabis or arrange cannabis transactions.
- Storefront: A physical public-facing location associated with a caregiver or dispensary. On MCC, a storefront listing helps visitors find and contact the member; it is not an online checkout or order page.
- Caregiver Storefront: A membership category for a verified caregiver with a storefront-style public profile, map visibility, contact access, informational inventory or service listings, reviews, license monitoring, and member-only wholesale discovery features.
- Dispensary: A membership category for a verified medical cannabis dispensary or retail-style operator with a public profile, map visibility, contact access, informational inventory listings, reviews, license monitoring, and member-only wholesale discovery features.
- Manufacturer: A member category for businesses that make cannabis-related products where legally permitted. The Platform separates manufacturers into edible manufacturers and concentrate manufacturers for easier discovery.
- Edible Manufacturer: A manufacturer category for members that make edible cannabis-related products where legally permitted. MCC may display approved informational product listings, but does not sell products or process product payments.
- Concentrate Manufacturer: A manufacturer category for members that make cannabis concentrates, vapes, or related manufactured products where legally permitted. MCC may display approved informational product listings, but does not sell products or process product payments.
- Delivery Caregiver: A membership category for a verified caregiver whose profile emphasizes delivery/service-area discoverability, contact access, lead routing, license monitoring, and member networking. MCC does not arrange deliveries or process delivery payments.
- Doctor, Nurse Practitioner, Medical Certifier, or Certifier: A verified professional or organization that provides medical cannabis certification-related services where legally permitted. MCC may list contact and service information, but does not provide medical advice or issue certifications.
- Cannabis Coalition Certified - Maine Legal or Coalition Certified: MCC's directory signal that a member submitted required information for review and represents that it operates within Maine's legal medical cannabis program. This is a directory verification signal, not a product safety warranty or legal opinion.
- Color-coded pins or color code: Map and profile markers that help visitors understand member characteristics, such as corporate cannabis, multi-state operator, MOFGA certified clean cannabis, lab tests provided, veteran-owned, or Cannabis Coalition Certified - Maine Legal.
- MOFGA Certified Clean Cannabis: A trust marker for members who represent that they meet MOFGA clean cannabis standards and provide supporting information for MCC review.
- Lab test provided: A trust marker indicating that the member has provided lab testing information for MCC review. Visitors should review member-provided details and contact the member directly with product-specific questions.
- Veteran-owned: A trust marker indicating that the member represents veteran ownership and has submitted information for MCC review.
- Strain: A named variety or type of cannabis listed for informational discovery. Strain listings help visitors find members who report offering that strain; they are not offers by MCC to sell cannabis.
- Informational inventory, product library, or product listings: Member-submitted product, inventory, strain, price, or availability information displayed for discovery only. These listings do not create a cart, checkout, order, delivery, or payment flow for cannabis.
- Reviews, top reviewed, and review ranking: User-submitted reviews that MCC may moderate and display. Review ranking can affect directory visibility or ad placement within the Platform, but members cannot purchase better review ratings.
- Lead routing or contact access: Tools that help visitors contact members or send inquiries. MCC does not guarantee a response and is not responsible for any later communication or transaction.
- B2B marketplace or member-only wholesale discovery: Access-controlled discovery, inquiry, and document workflow features that help approved members identify and contact each other. Any wholesale discussion, agreement, payment, transfer, or fulfillment happens outside the Platform and is the responsibility of the participating members.
- Purchase inquiry: A message or request sent through the Platform so members can communicate about possible wholesale interest. It is not a completed purchase, order, checkout, or payment.
- Invoice or trip ticket: A document workflow tool for members to create or organize paperwork related to their own off-platform business activity. MCC does not complete, collect payment for, transport, or fulfill cannabis orders.
- Sponsor Placement: Paid promotional visibility or sponsorship placement on MCC properties. Sponsor placement is a platform advertising/service fee and is separate from member directory subscriptions.
- 420-friendly business sponsor: A non-cannabis or cannabis-adjacent sponsor that wants promotional visibility with the MCC audience. Sponsor placement does not mean MCC sells the sponsor's products or services.
- Event Listing: A one-time paid listing for an approved cannabis-related event submitted by an MCC member. MCC may publish event information after review, but does not sell tickets for cannabis products or process cannabis-related event transactions.
What the Platform Is Not
The Platform is not a marketplace or e-commerce service. Inventory and product information displayed on the Platform is informational only, intended to help users discover and connect with members. Any transaction is arranged and conducted independently between the parties, outside the Platform, through members' own channels. MCC is not a party to and bears no responsibility for any such transaction.
- MCC does not sell or offer cannabis or cannabis products.
- MCC does not facilitate, broker, or process the sale or purchase of cannabis or cannabis products.
- MCC does not process payments between users and members or between members.
- MCC does not operate a cart, checkout, order, or payout system for cannabis products.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it current.
Member Listings and Compliance
Member listings do not appear publicly until manually approved by an MCC administrator. New products and trust-sensitive changes must be re-approved before replacing the live version. Members are solely responsible for the accuracy, authenticity, and legality of all information, documents, and content they submit, including license and compliance documentation. MCC's verification and monitoring tools do not constitute legal, regulatory, or compliance advice.
Reviews and User Content
Users may submit reviews and other content subject to moderation. By submitting content, you grant MCC a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute it on the Platform. You agree not to submit content that is false, defamatory, fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful. MCC may approve, reject, hide, or remove content at its discretion.
Networking and Communications
The Platform may route inquiries, messages, and lead information between users and members. MCC does not guarantee any response, outcome, or transaction resulting from these communications and is not responsible for the conduct of any user or member.
Fees and Payments
Fees collected through the Platform are limited to amounts owed directly to MCC, such as membership subscriptions, sponsorships, and event listings. Card statements will reflect the descriptor "United Technologies." Fees are subject to the terms presented at the time of purchase. Active subscriptions are required for members to remain publicly visible.
Refund Requests and Approved Refunds
Refund requests may be considered on a case-by-case basis if submitted within 14 days of the original payment date. Approved refunds are generally processed back to the original payment method within approximately 7 to 10 business days after we receive and confirm the request, although timing may vary depending on the payment provider, bank, or card issuer.
Original shipping charges are non-refundable where shipping charges apply.
